Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Prangano collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers prangano.com only, not any client project we build or operate.

Who we are

Prangano is a digital agency based at 100 S State St, Chicago, IL 60603, United States. We build web, mobile and eCommerce software. For anything in this policy, you can reach us through the contact form on this site.

What we collect

We collect very little, and only what you choose to send us.

Information you give us

When you submit the contact form, we receive the first name, last name, email address and message you enter. Nothing in that form is required beyond what is marked, and we ask for nothing else.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard web server logs for every request to this site. These include your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and your browser’s user agent string. This happens at the server level for security and troubleshooting, and is normal for any website.

To limit automated abuse of the contact form, we briefly store a one-way cryptographic hash of the submitting IP address for ten minutes. The hash cannot be reversed to recover the address, it is never linked to your message, and it is discarded automatically.

What we do not collect

We want to be specific here, because many privacy policies are vague about it. This website has:

• No analytics of any kind. No Google Analytics, no traffic measurement, no heatmaps, no session recording.
• No advertising, remarketing or conversion tracking pixels.
• No social media widgets, share buttons or embedded third-party content.
• No tracking cookies. Ordinary visitors are not given a cookie at all.
• No fonts, scripts or stylesheets loaded from third-party servers. Everything is served from this domain, so no outside company sees your visit.
• No profiling, and no automated decision-making about you.

Cookies

Browsing this site sets no cookies. Cookies are set only if someone logs in to the site’s administration area, which applies to Prangano staff, not to visitors. Those cookies exist to keep the person signed in and are not used to track anyone.

Because we set no tracking or advertising cookies, this site does not show a cookie consent banner. That is not an oversight.

Why we use your information

We use what you send through the contact form to read your enquiry, reply to it, and continue the conversation if it turns into a project. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not send newsletters.

Server logs and the temporary IP hash are used to keep the site running and to block automated abuse.

How long we keep it

• Contact form submissions: kept while the enquiry is live and for up to two years afterwards, so we can pick up an earlier conversation. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
• The temporary IP hash: ten minutes.
• Server logs: retained by our hosting provider under their own schedule, typically a few weeks.

Who else sees it

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Two parties necessarily handle it as part of running the site:

• Our hosting provider stores the website and its database on their servers in the United States, and operates the mail server that delivers your enquiry to us.
• Our email provider holds the notification message containing your enquiry, in the same way it holds any email sent to us.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, for example by a valid court order.

Where your information is held

This site and its data are hosted in the United States. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and stored there.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you.
• Give you a copy of it.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete it.

Send the request through the contact form and we will action it within 30 days. We may need to confirm you are the person who sent the original message before we act on a request, which we will normally do by replying to the email address used at the time.

Depending on where you live, local law may give you further rights, including under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation or United States state privacy laws. We will honour those rights where they apply to you.

Security

The whole site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so what you type into the contact form is encrypted in transit. Submissions are stored in the site database, and access to it is restricted to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send passwords, payment card details, or other sensitive information through the contact form.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our case studies may link to client websites. Once you follow a link away from prangano.com, this policy no longer applies and the other site’s own policy governs what happens there.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date shown at the top of it. Please check back occasionally.
